Frank Cody is the person responsible for the Smooth Jazz Radio
format. Along with Program Director, Paul Goldstein of The Wave,
he created it in the mid-1980s. Frank then went on to found the
pioneer consulting firm, Broadcast Architecture, which was the standard
bearer for the phenomenal growth of the format. His latest
endeavor, along with Dave Koz and Hyman Katz is the founding of yet
another pioneering company, Rendezvous Music.
Rendezvous began a couple of years ago with the idealistic mission of
developing a small family of fine musicians in a business climate that
seemed to favor only corporate giants. Since then, much has
changed and once again Frank Cody is at the tip of the new wave of the
music industry. The company's artist roster now includes Guitarist
Marc Antoine, Saxophonist Michael Lington, the recently signed Bassist
Wayman Tisdale and innovative European artist Praful.
